Call for Papers
The 2nd International Conference on Modeling in Mechanics and Materials is organized by Suzhou University of Science and Technology. It provides a platform for academia and professional communities to present the recent advances in modeling of aerospace, biomedical, civil, electronic, ocean, offshore, energy, mechanical, robotic and control engineering systems, both in small-scale and large-scale, with multidisciplinary applications, focusing on understanding and predicting material behaviors through modeling. However, its emphasis is not just on the computational issues relating to modeling within Mechanics and Materials, but also on the theoretical developments, computational techniques, experimental work and field investigations. The vision of the conference is for it to act as a platform from which to bring together different kinds of research, to help researchers interact better, and to promote state-of-the-art development of the subject area to a higher level.
S04 Dynamics of Smart Structures and Metamaterials
Smart materials and metamaterials are promising research areas in dynamics, which inspires many exciting concepts, such as, energy harvesting, sensing/actuation, adaptive vibration isolation, subwavelength imaging, negative refraction, invisibility cloaks. This minisymposium is planned to cover recent advances in applications of new theory, numerical and experimental aspects of smart materials and metamaterials. We expect the discussion will be extended to multidisciplinary topics.
